Registration
Registration is free and mandatory for taking out any equipment. It is not mandatory for using the workstations and other tools on site.
You need to be resident in Switzerland. You have to fill out the form and enclose some original documents listed beneath the arrow. Submit the registration dossier to the team at the «Bureau culturel» counter during opening hours, at least 7 days before the first reservation.
Original documents are returned following verification and scanning. As regards proof of domicile, you can send a .pdf from one of your suppliers by e-mail.
Why is registration personalized?
Personalized registration enables us to track the reservations of each individual, enhance their experience, and maintain the necessary trust for the smooth operation of the «Bureau culturel»'s services and the projects of all users. It also allows the «Bureau culturel» to provide and sell gift certificates.
Minor and residing with your parents:
Registration can be done in your own name, for a graduation project, for example. You will need to provide an original proof of residence not older than 3 months, which can be a letter from your school. You may be able to request a certificate from their administration.

Free days
Sundays are free when you rent equipment. Only 5 days are charged for a 7-day rental. Public holidays are free and special rates usually apply for New Year holiday season rentals.

Late return
A late return by more than 30 minutes results in a charge of an extra day's rental: from 2:01 pm.
Every unannounced overdue day is charged at three times the daily rate. The complimentary days are also no longer free.
The «Bureau culturel» reserves the right to take action in the event of prolonged late return.
Cancellations
Cancellation of a rental may incur costs depending on the date. Failing to take your reserved equipment is equivalent to a last minute cancellation. The charge is thus 100% of the rental price.
Cost of cancelling your rental before the pick-up date:
- from 0 to 4 days before: 100% of the rental price.
- 5 to 7 days before: 50% of the rental price.
- 8 to 14 days before: 25% of the rental price.
No cancellation fees:
- if cancellation is more than 15 days before the pick-up date.
- if the reservation was made on the same day.
- on presentation of your medical certificate once you have recovered (or by e-mail).

On-site payments
To pay in cash is always possible on-site to receive a relatively detailed receipt. Without such a receipt, only the rental contract contains billing details. These payment methods are now accepted and have no minimum:

The use of the «Bureau culturel» is reserved for cultural, sports, or socio-educational purposes.
To benefit from consistent quality services, you must be familiar with and adhere to a few rules.
The «Bureau culturel» operates thanks to your collaboration. We provide equipment that requires responsible and cooperative use. We rely on you to contact us immediately (by email or voicemail outside of opening hours) in case of a breakdown, malfunction, or wear. During opening hours, we can work together to find a solution remotely or by visiting the «Bureau culturel» again if your project takes place in Geneva. Please avoid waiting until the return day or saying nothing at all. Loss or damage can happen to anyone. We count on your transparency and are always open to finding a solution if your insurance does not cover it.
Professionals or trainees in the audiovisual field, it is essential that you lead by example by demonstrating exemplary behavior and taking special care in handling the equipment.
Maintaining the smooth operation of our services together helps us develop them in the best interest of your projects.
Operation
The equipment must be picked up by the registered person who reserved it, upon presentation of a valid ID. A proof of address less than 3 months old will also be required to report a change of address in Switzerland.
You are responsible for the equipment you use on-site or rent. You will be required to pay the repair costs or the replacement value of any broken or unreturned equipment (amounts mentioned in the rental contract + possibly a 20 CHF processing fee).
We strongly recommend obtaining appropriate insurance for the equipment during the rental period and for the destination of its use, or checking the conditions of your liability insurance.
Users of the «Bureau culturel» work independently. However, whenever possible, technical advice can be provided. Regular support sessions and introductions are also offered.
